Unlock Coby DVD players - DVD hack

Coby DVD-201 / DVD-217 / DVD-224 / DVD-227 / DVD-237 / DVD-505 / DVD-514 / DVD-527

  1. Press SETUP
  2. Press VOL+, VOL-, VOL+, VOL-
  3. Current RC should be displayed
  4. Select the RC with RIGHT and LEFT (255=Codefree)
  5. Press SETUP
  6. Turn the player off

Coby DVD-202 / DVD-203 / DVD-207 / DVD-208 / DVD-218 / DVD-507 / DVD-508 / DVD-606 / DVD-615

  1. Method 1:
  2. Press SETUP
  3. Press 2, 1, 8, 8
  4. A new menu entry appears (Version)
  5. Select it
  6. Press ENTER
  7. Select "Region" with RIGHT
  8. Select RC with UP, DOWN (0 = codefree)
  9. Press SETUP
  10. Turn the player off

  2. Press SETUP
  3. Press VOL+, VOL-, VOL+, VOL-
  4. Current RC should be displayed
  5. Select the RC with RIGHT and LEFT (255=Codefree)
  6. Press SETUP
  7. Turn the player off

Coby DVD-215 / DVD-404

  1. Open the disc tray
  2. Press 2, 8, 1, 2
  3. Press PLAY/ENTER until 9 is shown
  4. Close the disc tray

Coby DVD-228 / DVD-626

  1. Open the tray
  2. Press SETUP
  3. Enter 9, 8, 7, 0
  4. Turn the player off

Coby DVD-515 / DVD-707

  1. Open the disc tray
  2. Press SETUP
  3. Press 8, 8, 8, 8
  4. Press NEXT CHAPTER
  5. A new menu entry appears (Version)
  6. Select it
  7. Select RC with LEFT/RIGHT (0 = codefree)
  8. Press SETUP
  9. Turn the player off

Coby DVD-815

  1. Open the tray
  2. Press SETUP, 8, 4, 2, 1
  3. Turn the player off

Coby DVD-915 / DVD-925

  1. Press DVD, OPEN
  2. Enter 0, 0, 0, 0
  3. Enter the region you want (9 = multi-region)
  4. Press SETUP, SETUP, OFF

Coby DVD-R1000

  1. Turn on the player (without a disc inserted)
  2. Press STOP 2 x
  3. Press SUBTITLE 5x
  4. Press the button for the desired RC (0=codefree)

Coby DVD-R1100

  1. With no disc in the tray
  2. Key in 0, 0, 8, 6, 0, 0, 0 on the remote
  3. Press SELECT
  4. Power the recorder off

Coby DVD-R1200

  1. The disc tray has to be empty
  2. Press RETURN
  3. Press INFO
  4. Enter 8, 8, 8, X (X is the region code, 0 = multi-region)
  5. Press ENTER (or RETURN)

Coby TF-DVD500 / TF-DVD5000 / TF-DVD5010 / TF-DVD7050 / TF-DVD7100 / TF-DVD7107 / TF-DVD8500

  1. Press SETUP
  2. Press FFW, F REW, NEXT, PREVIOUS
  3. Change the code to 255 using the RIGHT arrow key

Coby TF-DVD1540

  1. Switch on
  2. Press SOURCE until the player is in 'DVD' mode
  3. Ensure the disc tray is empty
  4. Press DVD SETUP
  5. Press the RIGHT ARROW button four times
    (You should now see the "Preference Page" menu)
  6. Enter 3, 3, 0, 8
    (A menu should appear displaying the player's current region code)
  7. Set the region code using DOWN (0 = multi-region)
  8. Press OK
  9. Press DVD SETUP

Coby TF-DVD5600 / TF-DVD7500

  1. Turn on the player (without a disc inserted)
  2. Press SETUP
  3. Select "Preferences"
  4. Press 1, 3, 7, 9
  5. Select region
  6. Press ENTER
  7. Press SETUP again
