Unlock Akai DVD players - DVD hack

Akai ADR-5800Di

  1. Insert any disc
  2. Press CLEAR, 2, 5, 8, CLEAR
  3. The service menu will then come up.
  4. Enter the region you want (0 = multi-region)

Akai ADV-1120 / ADV-1250 / DV-P2340 / DV-P2440 / DV-P2540 / DVD-2100SS / DVR-2100SS

  1. Turn on the player
  2. Open the disc tray
  3. Press 3, 3, 0, 8, 0
  4. "XXXX" is displayed.
  5. Enter the region (0 = multi-region)
  6. Close the disc tray
  7. Turn it off

Akai ADV-8000 / ADV-8175 / DV-P2500 / DVP-8000

  1. Turn on the player (without disc inserted)
  2. Press 8, 9, 2, 6, X (X = region; 0 = multi-region)

Akai ADV-9000 / DV-P3410 / DVD-3140

  1. Open the disc tray
  2. Press 8, 4, 2, 1
  3. A menu should appear. (9 = multi-region)

Akai DHT-300

  1. Turn on the player (without a disc inserted)
  2. Press STOP
  3. Press 1, 9, 9, 9
  4. Current region is displayed
  5. Select "Region Code"
  6. Press ENTER
  7. Select region using UP/DOWN ("Free" = multi-region)
  8. Press ENTER
  9. Press SETUP

Akai DV-P1000

  1. Press and hold EJECT and A-B while the player is off
  2. Turn it on, display says "A:00 D:12"
  3. Change digit after "A" to 05 with PLAY and STOP
  4. Change digit after "D" with SKIP keys to "00" (this is the region)
  5. Save with PAUSE
  6. Turn the player off and on

Akai DV-P2000

  1. Turn the player off
  2. Press and hold FAST FORWARD and STOP and the black button
  3. Turn on the player (with POWER)
  4. When the AKAI logo is shown, release FAST FORWARD and STOP
    but keep holding the black button
    A list, separatet into columns, appears
  5. Press ENTER
  6. Press CURSOR RIGHT
  7. Change it to '00' for region free
  8. Press ENTER
  9. Press POWER to turn the player off
  10. Release the black button
  11. Turn on the player

Akai DV-P3470 / DV-P3570 / DV-P3570S

  1. Turn on the player
  2. Press SETUP on the remote
  3. Press 4, 9, 5, 4, 0
  4. Go to "Version"
  5. Select region using LEFT/RIGHT (0 = codefree)

Akai DV-P3550

  1. Press ON/OFF
  2. Press OPEN/CLOSE
  3. Press SETUP
  4. Go into "PERFERENCE" at Setup Menu
  5. Scroll down to the "Country/RegioCode" and choose the country

Akai DV-P4000 / DV-P4500

  1. Turn the player off (OFF-Mode)
  2. Press DIMMER and SKIP BACK simultaneously
  3. Hold them and press POWER ON
  4. Four lines are displayed
  5. Enter '1999'
  6. 'A-0000 D-04' is displayed
  7. Enter:
    '00' for RC 0 (Display: A-0000 D-00) (region free),
    '01' fo RC 1 (Display: A-0000 D-01),
    '02' for RC 2 (Display: A-0000 D-02)
  8. Press ENTER
  9. Turn the player of ('Power ON/OFF')

Akai DV-P4330S / DV-P5380S / DV-P5570SL / DV-P5580SK

  1. Open tray
  2. Press 9, 7, 3, 5
  3. Select region 0
  4. Press ENTER
  5. Leave the menu

Akai DV-P4410 / DV-P4420S

  1. Open the disc tray
  2. Press 7, 7, 3, 9
  3. Press 0
  4. Close the disc tray

Akai DV-PX7000

  1. Open the disc tray
  2. Press 1, 0, 3, 0, 0
  3. 0 is displayed
  4. Turn the player off

Akai DVR-3100SS / DVR-3300SS / DV-R3400SS

  1. Open the disc tray
  2. Press 8, 1, 3, 2, 8
  3. Select region using ENTER (9 = multi-region)
  4. Press STOP

Akai DV-R4000SS / DV-R4150SS

  1. Turn on the player (without a disc inserted)
  2. Press SETUP
  3. Press STOP
  4. Press 5, 7, 0, 0
  5. Press STOP
  6. Enter region (0 = multi-region)
  7. Press SETUP

Akai DVD-200BL

  1. No disc must be inserted!
  2. Press OPEN/CLOSE on the remote
  3. Press SETUP
  4. Press 1, 3, 6, 9
  5. Press LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT
  6. Select region (0 = multi-region)

Akai DVD-2100 / DVD-2100SS

  1. Open the disc tray
  2. Press 3, 8, 3, 8
  3. Select region (9 = multi-region)

Akai DVD-3850S

  1. Open the disc tray
  2. Press 8, 5, 6, 1
  3. A menu should appear

Akai DVPS-760

  1. Turn on the player
  2. Open the disc tray
  3. Press SETUP
  4. Press 9, 1, 0, 1, 0 (first digit (9) is for multi-region)
  5. Press STEP, SHUFFLE, NEXT
  6. Close disc tray
  1. To control the settings:
  2. Open the disc tray
  3. Press SETUP
  4. Press SHUFFLE, STEP, NEXT
  5. Go to the Debug settings. The current RC is shown there.
  6. Close disc tray

Akai HV-DH10 / HV-DH10N

  1. Insert foreign DVD
  2. Wait for "Check Region Code"
  3. Press DISPLAY, TOP MENU, PLAY quickly
